Derby-Shelton, CT Rotary Club-(1997-2002) Ron joined the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club and immediately got involved in the club activities. He coordinated the Club’s “Student of the Month” and “Student of the Year” program; the Club’s Shelton Day street fair coordinating the set up and coordination of booths; and served on the board or directors under three club presidents.

Rotary International District 7980-While a club member of the Derby-Shelton Club Ron served in 2001-2002 as the Assistant Chairman for the District Interact program and then District Interact Chairman in 2002.  He also assisted in the District public speaking contest.

Williamsport, PA Rotary Club-(2002-2003) Upon moving to Pennsylvania Ron joined the Williamsport, PA Rotary Club and quickly became active with the club and served on the board of directors.

Lewisburg, PA Rotary Club- (2003-2004) Ron lived in Lewisburg, PA and became active with the Lewisburg, PA Breakfast Club coordinating all club communications including newspaper articles and photographs of club activities.

Vineland, NJ Rotary Club- (2005-2009). Upon moving to New Jersey Ron became active with the Vineland, NJ Rotary Club and joined the board of directors as membership chairman resulting in increased club membership. He coordinated the GSE teams while with the Vineland club including recruitment of host families and activities. 2007-French team & 2008-Hungary Team.

Rotary International Zone 31 & 32. As a result of Ron’s success as the Vineland, NJ Rotary Club membership chairman he was asked to make a presentation to District Governors and other participants, including the Rotary International President, at the  Rotary International Zone meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

Other: Paul Harris Fellow. Rotary Leadership Institute. Attended Rotary International United Nations Day.

Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce
In 2015 Ron was recognized as the "Volunteer of the Year" by the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Ron served as the chairman of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) marketing committee from June, 2012 through May, 2015 and also served on the 2011-2018 chamber Christmas party committee. In 2013 he served as the chairman of the program review committee for re-accreditation for the chamber. The CDCC moved from a 3 star chamber to the highest accreditation of 5 stars. He served on the chamber auction event committee in 2015 and he coordinated the live auction. He was an Ambassador in 2016-2017. JR Ennis from the CDCC stated, "Ron your leadership of the marketing committee has been nothing less than superb. Your assistance with the Showcase made it the most successful Showcase in CDCC history! Thank you so much & I truly appreciate everything you do".  In 2015 Ron coordinated the live auction portion of the annual CDCC auction resulting in the largest amount of raised. Ron became an ambassador for the organization in 2016 and continued in 2017 helping new companies integrate with the chamber.

Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity
He worked with the Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity in 2012 and 2013 with their search for a development director by serving as the chairman of the selection committee; as well as, assisting with grant proposals and developing a new annual giving solicitation letter.  He developed an outcomes based logic model for the organization. At the end of 2014 and in 2015-2018 Ron volunteered his time with the fundraising event committee and served as the chairman of the Builders Dash 5K Walk/Run resulting in an increase in participants and sponsors.

Interfaith Mission Homeless Shelter
Helped identify foundations which may provide grants to the homeless shelter in Dover.

Valley Council of Health & Human Service Organizations
Ron served as President of the Valley Council of Health & Human Service Organizations which is an organization of more than 50 non-profit organizations in the Lower Naugatuck Valley of Connecticut. Converted VCHHS community services study into action plan, improving quality of life. Recruited to Chair year-long study The Cradle to Grave. Program evaluated quality of community services for all ages. Organized team of community members, including hospital medical staff, not-for-profits, transportation and housing. Determined areas needing service improvement. Presented plan of action to local mayors and community. Implemented change, resulting in improved quality of services. All America City Committee - Lower Naugatuck Valley, Connecticut
He served on the “All America City” committee of the Lower Naugatuck Valley in CT and served as the co-chairman of the “All America City” Gala Celebration which included more then 500 participants for this gala dinner and program and included US Senator, State Senator and other State representatives, and local mayors and officials. The Lower Naugatuck Valley was awarded the "All America City" Award in Louisville, Kentucky.


Montclair Volunteer Ambulance Unit
Captain and Senior Crew Chief of MVAU which averaged over 6,000 calls per year. As captain was a member of the West Essex Captain's Council. Assisted in the formation of one of the first mobile intensive care units in the State of New Jersey and of Medic VII & VIII at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge/Montclair, NJ. Co-Chaired the coordination of all volunteer drivers for the MICU. Was awarded life membership of the MVAU.

Served 8 years as a hole marshal and one year as the barbecue chef
